Whatever happened to the promise of flying cars? Great news: It’s happening. Supernal, a part of Hyundai Motor Group, is ushering in a new era of transportation called Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). They asked us to demonstrate it at the 2022 Farnborough International Airshow and at the National Business Aviation Association’s 2022 event in Orlando. We created an immersive booth experience featuring an enormous flight simulator where attendees, potential partners and press could step into the cabin and experience what it’s like to fly from point-to-point through a city. Our goal was to prove to the aviation industry and legislators that Supernal’s Hyundai-backed AAM vision is comprehensive, responsible…and very real.
The exhibitions were an overwhelming success. Across vertical pubs after the Farnborough Airshow, Supernal enjoyed a 35% share of industry voice. Brand reach online topped 23M. New social media followers jumped 25% in a week and videos of the event reached 11M. To top it off, after a ride, acting FAA Administrator Billy Nolen actually tweeted to thank Supernal. Simply put, potential partners across government and aviation were certainly impressed.
All in all, a remarkable success. And this 2022 Farnborough International Airshow experiential project is just one of many ways Innocean is helping Supernal launch not only a product – but an entirely new transportation industry.
At the heart of AAM are electric aircraft that can take off vertically, fly horizontally above traffic, and land vertically at vertiports positioned throughout a city. Supernal is currently developing these eVTOL aircraft and working with partners to co-create the supporting ecosystem and integrate it into existing transit options. Supernal’s aircraft will aim to address two major problems experienced by most of the world’s major cities—congestion and pollution. After all, a trip from downtown Los Angeles to LAX, for example, is expected take mere minutes in the air without producing carbon emissions in flight.
