The IONIQ 5 is the culmination of decades of design and innovation, and it has the trophies to prove it. It was named winner of the 2022 World Car Awards: World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, and World Electric Car of the Year—easily raising the bar for any other EV on the road. So to launch it, we set out to show its place along an epic scale of human progress. Told through a comedic lens, we follow Jason Bateman on a journey through great, albeit absurd moments of innovation before establishing the IONIQ 5 as the EV the world never knew they were waiting for.
The IONIQ 5 launch came during Super Bowl season, but not in-game. So we used creative media placements to ensure the launch still grabbed the world’s attention during the high-profile ad season. Our work appeared in pre-Super Bowl time slots, launched unique elements on TikTok and collaborated with creators to make sure that, even though we weren’t IN-GAME, it sure felt like we were.
